How rude of me not to introduce myself before posting on the policy blog! My name is Sarah Jameson and I am a fall intern at Public Knowledge. I am a third year law student at the Catholic University of America and a certificate candidate in the Institute for Communications Law Studies. I first came to D.C. in 2000 from Massachusetts to attend The George Washington University as an undergrad. Since the job market was still good when I graduated, I stuck around.
In addition to PK and my studies, I have various leadership positions at Catholic. I am the Vice Chancellor for the National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition held annually at Catholic, as well as Senior Lead Articles Editor for COMMLAW CONSPECTUS: Journal of Communications Law and Policy. I have a publication coming out in December 2008 entitled “Cyberharassment: Striking a Balance Between Free Speech and Privacy.” When I’m not busy over committing myself, I enjoy bike riding along the Potomac, going to farmer’s markets, and attending restaurant soft openings.
I am very grateful to Public Knowledge for giving me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of all types of communications law related issues. My interests include copyright, internet regulation issues, and anything that involves the First Amendment. Please do not hesitate to send me any inquiries and suggestions you may have!
