Emerging Tech Through the Years at Public Knowledge
July 22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Public Knowledge has been a leader on emerging technology policy. In 2011, we started the popular “3D/DC,” an annual interactive conference covering the crucial 3D printing policies that were shaping the industry.
In 2018, we evolved this annual conference to cover a range of emerging technologies beyond 3D printing, including artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and the Internet of Things. The following year, we re-focused the event’s discussions on how these technologies impact communities of color, and how they can be used for social change.
In honor of our 20th anniversary, we are looking back on the topics we showcased over the years. Join us on Thursday, July 22nd to hear from the people who were instrumental in leading Public Knowledge’s work on emerging technologies, and learn what challenges lie ahead for emerging technology policy advocates.
