Car companies are planning to deploy Dedicated Short-Range Communication (DSRC) technology in new cars without the requisite cybersecurity and privacy protections in place. Before car companies place these units into the cars of millions of Americans, the Commission needs to hear from civil rights organizations on how this new technology can be deployed in a manner consistent with Civil Rights Principles in the Era of Big Data.
