Join us on Thursday, May 2 for Emerging Tech for Social Change, our 8th annual conference on emerging technologies and policy, building on the success of Emerging Tech DC and 3D/DC.

Panel Discussions

Emerging Tech for Social Change will continue to address four topic areas including 3D printing, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and the internet of things. This year we will center voices at the margins so we can better understand what policies need to be in place so we can ensure technology is used for social good. We hope this will serve as an opportunity for members of Congress and their staffs, public interest organizations, and industry leaders to learn from each other and collaborate on finding policy solutions that will positively impact marginalized communities.

Showcase and Reception

Following our day-long panel discussions, we invite participants to our reception at Google where various creators will display their applications of 3D printing, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and the internet of the things. This will serve as an opportunity to engage with technologists about the ways in which their creations can be used for social good.
